Blueberry Cacao Bliss Balls

17-Jul-2017 We have discovered a new favourite Protein/Bliss Ball in our house. Everyone loves this recipe – a taste of chocolate for those afternoon cravings and a hint of berries. Delicious!

Of course the recipe can be altered to accommodate your choice of nuts and prunes, raisins or figs can be substituted for the dates. Made so quickly in the Thermomix or blender.

Blueberry Cacao Bliss Balls

Ingredients:

1 cup almonds
1 cup Medjool dates
1/3 cup cacao powder
 1-2 tbspns chia seeds
1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries (I used mixed frozen berries)
1/3 cup organic shredded coconut
1 – 2 scoops protein powder

Method:

Add 1 tbspn coconut oil if the mixture is not sticky enough – I don’t normally need it.
Blitz in Thermomix or blender and then roll into balls. Coat with shredded coconut. 

Tips:
Use disposable gloves when rolling mixture into balls.
Put shredded coconut into a small plastic bag, add balls and shake around until they are evenly coated. So easy!
